Monteverde has one of the most exuberant Cloud Forests in Latin America. One of its inhabitants is a highlight for birders in Costa Rica: the Resplendant Quetzal. During this tour you will see the Cloud Forests from different perspective. A naturalist guide will unravel you its secrets…

Day 1: SAN JOSE/MONTEVERDE

Your driver waits for you at your hotel in San José. Leave on a shuttle van for Monteverde. Arrival at about noon. The afternoon is free for optional activities, among which we suggest a visit to a Butterfly Farm or the Orchid Garden.

Day 2: MONTEVERDE

Wake up early for breakfast! A driver takes you with him for a ride to Selvatura Park. Here you will do a self-guided hike through the Cloud Forests; the trail has several suspension bridges from which you will have a spectacular view over de forests. After a break, you continue with a guided hike into Santa Elena Biological Reserve. Your guide is an expert on vegetation and wildlife of the Monteverde Cloud Forest.

Day 3 MONTEVERDE/SAN JOSE

After breakfast a driver will bring you back to San José in his shuttle van. It is possible to continue to other destinations, just ask us for the conditions!.
