Four days / Three nights Monteverde and Arenal

This is a classic tour that combines a visit to the active Arenal Volcano and its worldwide known Hot Spings with Monteverde, one of the most amazing Cloud Forests in Latin America, home of the Resplendent Quetzal. Enjoy the Tree Top Walk: an exciting walk crossing suspended bridges through the lush vegetation of Santa Elena Biological Reserve. On the last day transportation back to San José is provided. However, we can arrange transportation to other destinations too.

Day01: SAN JOSE/ARENAL

Departure from your hotel in San José. Meet the driver and leave on a shuttle van for Arenal. Check in to your hotel. In the afternoon your guide will pick you up for a hike in National Park Arenal. This will take about 2 hours. After the hike you will be transferred to the natural Hot Springs where you can relax for a couple of hours. You will finish this tour here with a delicious dinner. Transfer back to your lodge.

Day02 ARENAL/MONTEVERDE

Meet your driver after breakfast. Prepare for a scenic journey to the Cloud Forests of Monteverde. First stage is by van to the shore of Lake Arenal. You will cross this lake with its beautiful views over the Volcano by boat. At the other side another van is waiting for you to take you to the little town of Santa Elena in the Monteverde area. Check in hotel. Afternoon is at leisure. There are different optional activities possible.

Day03

Early wake up for breakfast. Transportation to Selvatura Park for a spectacular self guided walk over suspension bridges. This walk gives you the opportunity to enjoy the Cloud Forest from different perspectives. The rest of the day is free for optional activities.
